Monday’s aren’t so bad when you get one of these perfect Fairy Bower arvo’s to finish off the day! A light Southerly made for perfectly flat calm conditions down that side of the bay. The water clarity was on point and perfect for a swim or a snorkel… I hope a few of you were lucky enough to get amongst it.
Not a bad option around the corner at Manly Beach either. Bloody unreal to have this all just on our doorstep isn’t it?

It was another steamy one out there that day. Things got exciting when a good old Summer storm started rolling in from the North. After months of neglect in the shed and a now severely rusted and barely working chain, my bike got it’s time to shine as I cruised down to Shelly Beach to see if this cell would eventuate into anything dramatic. It was the perfect calm before the storm as the locals squeezed in a last swim before Manly copped a drenching. It looked a little different to the day before that’s for sure!

Had a bit on the rest of the week. Hope everyone got out and amongst it during that prime beach weather on Australia Day. I know where I would have been if I was in town… preferably with the fish underwater and out of the heat at The Bower or out to sea for a sail to get away from the crazy beach crowds.
Here we are back to it on Sunday morning. It was hot. Real hot. I’d caught up with @newportdc to check out the scenes up at Turimetta Beach. We were sweating bullets by the time we’d walked up the headland stairs and it was only 6:00am!
Not too much to report on that morning. The clouds wouldn’t lift apart from a slither of light way out to sea. Even so, a swim and a coffee was the way to go to kick start the day.
Thanks for checking out this weeks post! As always, all photographs are available as prints. If you don’t see what you’re after here on my website just shoot me a message and we’ll get it organised for you.
Cheers,
Piers
